The Sonus Brass Ensemble radiates high spirits and a cheerful atmosphere! They produce virtuoso music, brilliantly interpreted and performed effortlessly. In addition to outstanding concert programmes, their passion has always been their concerts for young audiences.
The five thoroughbred musicians of the Sonus Brass Ensemble hit the jackpot with their first production for children. Their programme "Die Blecharbeiter" won the international "Find it Award" for music mediation by Jeunesse Austria in 2004; their programme "Rocky Rococco" in 2011 was the winner of the "YEAH! Young EARopean Award".
Since then, the Sonus Brass Ensemble has been performing children's and family concerts with heart and soul. As part of a fascinating musical play, the children are introduced to classics of a varied repertoire e.g. Johann Sebastian Bach's famous 'Toccata and Fugue' in D minor, or works by Giuseppe Verdi, Duke Ellington and Michael Jackson.
The musicians of the Sonus Brass Ensemble have inspired audiences of all ages with their refreshingly innovative ideas at the Bregenz Festival, the Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival, the Hamburg Elbphilharmonie, the Rheingau Music Festival, the Lucerne Festival, the Vienna Music Society, the Luxembourg Philharmonic and the Cologne Philharmonic, among others, and seduce both young and old with their touching and entertaining concert experiences.
